So, LATAM kicked out some 250 troublemaker pilots all over Latin America and no one’s talking about it?

Tell us more and get the ball rolling, there's people who surely would like to know more, that's what this site is for.

Well, the Open Skies agreement made by the Chilean Governement pretty much facilitated what is happening in both countries, Chile and Peru.
LATAM booted more than 150 pilots in Chile and almost 120 pilots in Peru; none of these fired were furloughed or reduced by seniority, all of the pilots kicked out were revenge-booted due to their attitude not being Pro-Company; all of the pilots mentioned were unionized, had stood up one or many times defending their rights, not over-flying limits or claimed promised benefits.
But, on a lighter side, LATAM just pretty much handed the Chilean and Peruvian market on a silver platter to ULC carriers like Sky and JetSmart!
Really Dumb-ass move by snobby managers who belive they are God’s given gift to airline prosperity...

You should also take into consideration 232 Argentine pilots fron DSM. The Holding has decided to cease its operations in Argentina since June 17th.

Too bad to hear...and what about their union? Are they just sitting with their arms crossed?

Nothing can do because most of the unions donīt want to negotiate with the company.
43000 employees had the Holding at the beginning of the quarantine in Latin America and all of them accepted the salary reduction to 50% but not the unions in Argentina (2200 employees).
Even though most of the employees in Argentina were willing to accept the reduction...but the unions didnīt follow the desires of their associates... airline unions in Argentina are only to protect Aerolineas Argentinas which is a government own company oversize and losing U$D 2 million per day before COVID 19....

Latam is gone! Nothing we can do about it! On August 17th they're going for Chapter 7 in USA and Oaktree is buying the debt We (Pilots) have to wait for a new job opportunity Probably JetSmart as the Indigo group is pouring lots of $$$$ to fill in the routes left by Latam!!
