Bain has now confirmed they won’t be restarting Tiger Air as has Cyrus.

Shout out to Ken and team who got it off the ground back in 2007. The first operator to get a AOC on the first proving flight.

So so many ups and downs. So many useless executives. Sadly was a victim of Virginisation. Good luck to all.

Tiger Taiwan last one left!

I think they were gone pretty much when all the pilots and cabin crew got retrenched about 2 months ago? Otherwise it is just a name.

not quite all the crew left, MEL based cabin crew remain, Paul Scurrah's plan was for VAA pilots to fly TT services (737 only) on VAA AOC as necessary. Removes duplicated training and management structures. It was to be rebranded/relaunched.

HI GW

Sort of what I meant but I didn’t express well enough. Other than the Mel cabin crew all the other people are pretty much gone so Tiger is just a paint job on the side of an aircraft but none of the Tiger soul left. One of the things I think we lose sight of a little isn’t it, the ‘company’ is just a paint job, it is the people in it that make it fun....or not.

I wonder if Fox will have another crack at it?

RIP Tigers. The concept eventually worked but VA destroyed it along with a sucsession of useless CEO's, corrupt training boys club members & other numb nuts in HO! KB you can be proud of those early days you gave a bunch of guys from OS who where loyal Aussies banished hope as well as many newbies getting a go in the brass ring -:)
