QF leaving its 30% stake in Vietnam based Jetstar Pacific. The story doesn’t explore the possible terms of the deal to offload the shares to majority owner Vietnam Airways. I hope QF doesn’t have to pay VN too much to take the shares.

This was announced a few weeks back. They said that they were transferring their remaining stake-holding to Vietnam Airlines and removing the Jetstar branding. I mean at the end of the day the Vietnamese government nationalised and took control of Jetstar Pacific years ago when they threw the two Qantas executives in jail.

Well that’s just amazing.
Why would he flog an amazing part of the business?
Geoff said it was going to be amazing; Alan said it was amazing, “really amazing” in fact.

I’m amazed, really amazed in fact.
