This was the first one into Oz, some 9 years later. We had to use the Japanese distributor, so we couldn't have the German options of the nose-mounted night sun or the adjustable pilot seat. Note that the endplates are inverted, must have been some aerodynamic advantage, or the Japanese couldn't read the German instructions: "Schticken die Endenplaten mit der kleiner bits herauf".

I see in that pic it is still JA registered. Just as well someone took it as I don’t think it lasted long enough in Sydney for anyone else to get one before it ended up in the harbour!

Apparently it was rebuilt and is still flying.

Currently operate the “lipstick” version.

I think it was bought by Roger the Lodger in Tazzy and it may have been the one that snagged the bucket in the Xmas fires and went splat.
