With the help of several former staff members I have created a website on the history of Norfolk Island Airlines. I would be pleased to hear from any staff members who are not already involved in the project.

Love the Safari Suits! Bet they didn't wear them on the freight runs! :}

Thanks for that Fris B Fairing.

Don't know about the safari suits for pilot uniforms!

Must be interesting taking freight out to Norfolk Island in a Baron.

A couple of questions, how did Norfolk Island Airlines get into operating the Ward's Learjets and did the Dash8 operate out to Norfolk Island?

Was VH-NID the first Dash 8 on the Aussie register?

No it was based in Sydney, we did a day trip with two crew via Lord Howe, first crew got off and had day rest while the second crew flew to Norfolk return and then paxed home, extremely long days

VH NID was close to being the first Dash Eight on the Australian register, however I think it was VH TQO of EAA closely followed by TQP then NID.
TQO was known as Oscar the Dog.
