Fronius IG TL 3.6 inverter .fld data files

I have been given a large .fld data file containing (allegedly) a load of data from a small Fronius solar power system that I need to read

Its not ASCII as far as I can tell - anyone got any suggestions as to how to open it in and get into some standard software like EXCEL???

Found a work round - there is also a .csv file generated by the data logger

When you import this it still looks very confused but altering the import type to 1252: W European and choose semi colon as divider produces something understandable.

The numbers appear to be in scientific notation - in fact they are text so there is some further jiggery-pokery required but that's relatively straight forward
