My last keyboard had computer key where when it was pressed it brought up a small handheld calculator face where you could do instant adding, multiplying, etc. The new one doesn't have that facility and I cannot find a programme that does the same Well I can but they have so much intrusive spying that it is not funny..

Any ideas?

You don't say what system you are using. If it is Windows you can easily add a calculator function as follows: Click the Windows key, find 'Calculator' in the list, right click it then left click 'More', left click 'Pin to taskbar'. You should then find a calculator button at the bottom of the screen. If you are using something else then I have no idea. Good luck.

Once you have pinned it to the taskbar you can start the apps with the Windows Key + a digit.
[Windows Key] 1 starts the left most one etc.

I had never heard of this before but the query somehow made me look it up - and there it was.

If the app is already open, the action opens its window and holding the windows key and repeatedly pressing the number cycles round the instances of the app.

Seems very handy. Handy enough that I may un-hide the taskbar, maybe move it to the side.

There is more on that page. You can create custom shortcuts too. That sounds better, easy to remember.
