goverments are providing up to 75% salary cover. at least in Denmark. not sure about Sweden and Norway.

Norway it is 62.4%, but only up to a salary of NOK 600k. So that is maximum about NOK 375k annually.

So if you earn NOK 1.000.000, you will get 37.5% of your salary whilst laid off.

In Sweden, trade union membership is accompanied with membership of an arbetslöshetskassa or ”a-kassa”. You need a certain minimum period of contributions, usually a year, but this can provide up to 450 days of income support in the event of redundancy.
