Has anyone ever heard of any scandinavians acceptet by BA for sponsorships?
The eligibillity checklist on their homepage says: fluent in english.
I've got all the exams and my spoken english/spelling just needs to be corrected here and there, and of course I need to speak and practice the "sound" of the words. A coupple of months in England before the tests perhaps?
Is it possible?

SK666,Given the current state of Political correctness, you should feel positively discriminated towards your application.British Airways, along with other UK airlines, prefer to employ Pilots of ANY nationality except British!!!
Good luck with your application (doubt you will need it,though!)

Being Scandinavian is definitely not a problem - I know several Scandinavians currently training as cadets with BA. Best of luck!

Sk666 , you should be fine , give it a shot BA love the multi cultural image which reflects their diverse passenger base . Dont worry about your standard of spoken english, im sure its fine, i've even heard a rumour that BA have employed some Scots and a welshman, not sure if i believe it though.

Well thanks guys. Positive indeed.
You make it sound "allmost" to easy.
As if the U.k.-based arlines prefer the "foreigners", and it may even be an advantage??
Again thanks..Nice hearing the good news. Now i am really close on target...invading England..or just a little piece of the sky
;-)

Hail all pprune-members!
