Posted on behalf of a colleague.

Hello everyone. Just got my ECG done for the medical board. The cardiac consultant marked a "Minor Q'' and a T with a downward arrow and stated I should get an ETT done.

I am 42, never smoke or drink with a decent allocation of time for exercise.

Was a bit startled by this. Getting the ETT done next week but a bit concerned as to why these variations happened.

Anyone?

The ECG has shown some minor changes that may indicate ischaemia ie inadequate blood getting to the muscle of the heart

To see if it is significant we do an exercise ecg where you run or cycle and we see if the changes increase

If they don't your colleague can expect a pass. If the changes indicate a problem then he or she should see it as a cloud with a silver lining as he or she can be sorted out before it does harm. And may well then pass the medical
