If all you had to do was ask CX to get an extra 3 weeks pay, wouldn’t you do it? Of course you would, but of course none of us do because CX would NEVER say yes, even in the very best of times. But in the case of many CX pilots, all the Company has to do is ask and we are stupid enough to say yes. Why wouldn’t they ask?

Is it a one way street? You bet it is, but it’s entirely self imposed because WE are stupid and weak and pathetic. If you took SLS because what you really want is a part time roster, fine. If you took it because you’re betting you’ll get it back and would like the time off, fine. If you took it because you’re scared of CX, grow a pair!

It is worth noting that if the GDPR rules had been applicable to this data breach, the fine would have been much bigger.

Instead of a £500k penalty, Cathay Pacific could have been hit with a share-holder sickening £470m fine - 4% of its annual global turnover.
