I have just applied for the ATPL course at Airways Aviation. However, I am unsure about their compass test and what it entails. If anyone could provide me with any help I would greatly appreciate it.

bit of a stab in the dark here, but it's probably the same as L3 one, look at latestpilotjobs.com its down to knowing your directions/bearings and spatial awareness

Standard Compass test. As indicated, numerical and verbal skills/reasoning. Spatial awareness, logic and co-ordination. No great shakes if you read the questions carefully.

For any assessment a good starter would be “Mental Maths for Pilots” book - can’t remember the author.
