Air Rhodesia Flight 827, the Umniati (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Munyati), was a scheduled flight between Kariba (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kariba,_Zimbabwe) and Salisbury (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harare) that was shot down on 12 February 1979 by Zimbabwe People's Revolutionary Army (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zimbabwe_People%27s_Revolutionary_Army) (ZIPRA) guerrillas using a Strela 2 (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Strela_2) missile soon after take-off. The circumstances were very similar to that of Air Rhodesia Flight 825 (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Air_Rhodesia_Flight_825) five months earlier. To date, it remains the deadliest aviation incident in Rhodesia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rhodesia) (now Zimbabwe (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zimbabwe))
