Looking for comments from actual or former cruise/relief pilots. EvaAir is advertising at the moment and I would appreciate as much information as possible before making a serious move. I e-mailed them a short resume some three weeks ago, no reply yet.
A) Is it a good path to follow to eventually get that left seat job? How long?
b) what's the money like (roughly)?
c) days off, roster?
d) any chance of being based in North America?
Anybody else looking for Cruisers?
All comments welcome, even if one has never flown from that position (all right, I know it's not called flying!!!).
Thanks.

If you join Cathay Pacific's passenger fleet, you'll begin as a Second Officer, effectively a Cruise pilot on either 744 or A340 for a couple of years before you get promoted to JF/O.

No basing available for S/O Hong Kong base only.
