View Full Version : Will BA force-tier my EC Status to match my SQ GO status?

Simple question. Probably stupid. Probably a duplicate. My apologies in advance.

I'm SQ GOx2 this year (all done in Y or Economy+) and mostly on the FRA-SIN-FRA route. Since I will never be upgraded by the tightest airline in the world and since BA has better meals I have started flying them FRA-LHR-SIN-LHR-FRA which is an example of (a) adding several hours to a journey just for a slightly better meal (b) walking away from luggage/lounge/etc (c) how annoyed/bored I am at SQ.

So my question is, and I know LH did this, is it possible to reach out to BA and see if they would accelerate or force-tier me to a matching status of my 'current' ?

Depends how desperate they are - SQ are tight because they don't have problems filling the seats etc at premium rates - it's called SERVICE - something I'm afraid you'll find sadly lacking on BA

You need to ask on flyertalk/BAEC
