Hi, my name is Glen Buckley a pilot from Australia. I was recently in Malaysia for a short holiday and during that break had the opportunity to meet a young fella that was very keen on pursuing a career with Malaysian Airlines. He was still attending school, but his enthusiasm was exceptional, and he bombarded me with plenty of questions. As he was pursuing a career in Malaysia, i was unable to offer him much assistance on the Malaysian scene, as i only had limited knowledge. My advise to him was that the best source of information would be somebody from within Malaysia.
So here i am with a request. If there is any Malaysian Airlines pilot that stumbles across this thread, i would be very appreciative if you could reach out to me via my email [email protected]
I am hoping that you may have some time to either meet with this young gentleman or spend some time with him on the telephone to encourage him and perhaps provide him with some guidance. He had plenty of questions, and none of them i was able to respond to with any authority.
I have been involved in the industry for over 30 years now and can assure you he was exceptional, he really was. So please contact me if anyone out there would be able to dedicate some time to giving him some guidance and/or mentoring.
