Hello everyone.

I have been applying for jobs and a few that have responded to my queries have not given a positive reply stating that an EASA based inspector / check pilots can not conduct a line check on my ICAO license.

Talking to a few pilots I found out that there are some countries that have EASA 'compliant' license and EASA check pilots can conduct checks on those licenses.

Someone pointed out Maldives as one of these countries. Any substance to this claim?

Hello

You either have an EASA licence or you dont. An FAA check airman cant check a Canadian licence holder etc. If the country you are applying to requires an EASA licence then nothing else will do.

USA, Singapore and Hong Kong etc have pretty easy conversion rules. EASA doesnt have a "conversion" process. You do it from scratch like an ab initio almost.
