does anyone know the difference between MTGW & MTOW (Boeing says the two are different )?

I think MaxTaxiGrossWeight is the permissable weight for taxy out and includes the taxi fuel that has to be used before take-off at MTOW.

... in which case, refer to the document where they say they are different, as it ought to explain.

Any use of acronyms should include a definition of them, either explicitly or by reference.
