TY-BBW, a Boeing 707 ex-Republic of Benin (and PanAm originally) was parked by a large canal in the Belgian town of Wetteren a few years back, ostensibly to become a theme restaurant. I flew over this, which is what piqued my interest. For some reason I thought of it again today, and upon looking for it on a map, it no longer appears to be there. Does anyone know what became of this aircraft ? Scrapped seems the most likely, as transporting it anywhere would have been very expensive.I know it's only metal, but it always makes me a little sad to see them go, or for that matter fade away.

It looks in a similar state of dismantling to a previous photo so they might eventually return it to a complete airframe.

The interior looks like a copy of the Elrod House in Palm Springs.
