Hello dears ,

as far as I can remember I remember them flying LHR THR , LHR CAI by 1981 , do you know some more routes by the end of their careers ?
i even saw some pictures taken in Europe.

Mainline used the 707's on some short hauls from T1 (incl the 436's too and VC-10's)

British Airtours used the 336's on IT's to the MED and Transatlantic charters
I flew back from Corfu in June 1982 and LGW-EWR same year...

The BA mainline 336 services ceased in June 1981....started again in November. Ceased again in May 1982....started again in October. Ceased again in May 1983 finally. Services during that period were mostly Africa and the Middle East. Also ad hoc charters here and there plus freight work for people like Pelican. Those of us that were senior enough went on to 747 the rest took up a secondment with Air Mauritius for a couple of years
