With the bush fires raging across many states is anyone aware of any aircraft that may have been destroyed in those fires.

I am aware of the P2 registered Bell Huey having an accident. Good that the pilot is OK.

With capital letters and no question mark, that title is quite misleading.

Gave me a start with that thread title! Happily, no problem....and there have been no losses around SE QLD that I know of.

Nautilus Bell 412 (VH-ZVP) landed in the Toowoomba area. Water doors open due to faulty mechanism. Crumpled doors and damaged tank, only minor and back flying.

Well I hope not. I personally know a few working the fires, they are utmost professionals who will do everything they can within limits to put out the fires. They are not stupid and do not subscribe to the "at any cost" mantra, they also have families who are expecting them to return home at the end of their stint.

Keep it professional, even if the fires are too wild and beyond control.
