Hi everyone,
I'm currently doing my CPL in Canada, my goal is to get into the airline here. Original plan was to get CPL + Group 1, then go for a drive up North to try and find a job.
Recently I've discovered that as a Vietnamese I maybe able to join Vietnam Airline as a cadet FO.

Would it be a good idea to join (if I can) Vietnam Airline cadet, work there a few years and come back to join the airlines here?
Will there be any difficulty transferring the skills and the hours?
Are their procedures the same? (ATC, IFR etc...?)

Before someone starts criticizing, I'm just going to go ahead and say yes I am trying to take shortcuts and get to the airline as quickly as I can. With that said I do care whether or not my skills will be adequate and that I'm going to be a competent and safe pilot. I would really appreciate any advice and help anyone can offer.

Go join as a cadet, if they are fully sponsoring for the program then don’t think twice.

You'll need a lot of bribe money to join as a cadet. You'll also be on local wage when you get to the line.
