Over the 3-4 years or so I've had my current iPhone I've amassed over 7000 photos and videos, of which I'd probably be pretty upset if I lost!

Can anyone advise the best/easiest way to save all of these photos and videos to my external hard drive via my PC? I've looked at simply copy and pasting all the folders from my iPhone to hard drive via File Explorer but it seems to take forever and sometimes won't allow it, for whatever reason.

Thank you

You can upload all your photos to Dropbox via the Dropbox app.

You can use iTunes on a PC to make a full backup of your iPhone data, including photos and videos. Store this on the PC or on an external drive and you can always recover them from that file.

Photosync.

You can set it up to transfer/copy your pics, with YYMMDD filenames if you wish, into dated folders on your PC.

You can also transfer photos and videos back onto your ithingy into dedicated folders.

A bit tricky to set up but amazing when you get it going.

Drag and drop is a nightmare filename-wise.

I tell the machine to save to icloud and then open icloud for windows on my pc and download them all and archive them on the hard disc.
