Learned contributors,
I had the good fortune to attend the ‘Farewell to the Lightnings’ day at Binbrook. I purchased a copy of Tim Nolan’s print ‘Lightning F6’ limited edition signed by artist and Roly Beamont and Jimmy Dell. I made an extra contribution to the fund raising stall manned by squadron members and arranged to have my print counter signed by the last commanders of 5 & 11 squadron, this was posted on to me. I can’t decipher the autographs could anyone identify those two gentlemen, please. Sadly LTF had already been disbanded so no hatrick of autographs.
Thanks for your time and trouble.
Be lucky

I believe Wg Cdr Andy Williams was 5's last CO and 11's was Wg Cdr Jake Jarron.

I believe RP is correct wrt Wg Cdr CO's however, I believe Sqn Ldr D G "Furz" Lloyd was 5's very last CO during the wind down time. A WIWOL should be able to confirm or correct this. RIP my dear chap!
