hey guys,
i'm a holder of ICAO ATPL with 4700 hours on the Boeing 737-800 , i want to convert to EASA ATPL but i only have 76 hours as PIC and EASA ATPL requires 250 hours minimum,
what do you suggest me to do ? i quit my airline and now i live in Poland. all advices are appreciated, thanks.

The obvious question is how did you get an ATPL with only 76 hours PIC? I know you can get an MPL with 70 hours - buy that needs 500 hours PICUS to upgrade.

76 hours isn't even enough for a CPL so I find it hard to believe there's not more to it. Do you have PIC/us? That counts. Worst case scenario you have to rent the cheapest plane you can find to build the missing 24 hours - then convert to an EASA CPL/IR. Once you have a job in the RHS you can build the other 150 hours as PICUS.

Bottom line is you can only get an FO job anyway - so you don't need an ATPL.

thanks alot for your kind reply,
actually all of us in my country got ATPL with the same hours, i looked after it and answer i got is that our CAA in Egypt calculated our co-pilot hours as PIC under super vision .
also i dont have any time PIC/us , so my question is , if i want to convert to EASA CPL/IR, what are the requirements ? what will i have to do for the conversion ? if you have any idea about that.

You'll need to pass 14 ATPL exams and meet the hour requirements. It's worth emailing the Authority you plan to convert to and see if they'll accept your hours in the same way Egypt has - they might.
Have a read through cap804 for guidance.
