Isn`t it about time the pilot community avoided these Airlines when this country is ignoring NATO and the rest of the world and killing the people who gave their lives to protect us all against ISIS. The fact that Broker Firms are supporting their recruitment needs just goes to show what a bunch of ****** most of them are. We all need jobs for sure. But!!!!

If you go down that route half the pilot population will be out of work. You'll get a very long list of airlines to boycott.

So, the answer from me is no.

Aren’t the poor/horrible conditions offered by the above airlines enough reason to avoid them in the first place?

What conditions are you talking about?

Pay for starters, and at least at SE from a friend who used to work there, the schedule.

Zav,

Funny thread though! First of all no-one is obligated to work for them nor is needed. As a Captain , I observe foreign people is so satisfied to live here generally, fleet difficulties or other work environment problems are encountered all around the world.

Turkey has border around 900 km with Syria and has own right to protect own border. YPG is a terrorist group which is related with PKK and PKK has been murdered thousands of innocent people who was teacher, doctor, prosecutor, lawyer (government employee) and thousand of woman and babies who declines to join their factions.

As conclusion please first push your government to take back ISIS detainees who are French,Belgium,British etc citizen to have right to make statement. Each country should take care about their own citizen who affiliates with terrorist groups.

Hope it works to realize what is happening around this region which I mentioned so briefly.

Thanks.

A terror group,?? that was used mercilessly by NATO to fight ISIIS and then get stranded and left to fend for themselves against a superior nation. Irrespective of that there are people needlessly getting killed. There are other airlines out there , and in my view , the economy in Turkey will drop as who will go on holiday there and if that is the case what need is there for flight deck. Let’s see but as stated by FLYTC the conditions are not brilliant anyway . Suggest you read up on your history and understand economies that suddenly become war zones . Definitely not good good for the pilot community .

THY has begun to not paying Sunday duties as specified in contract term number 4.6 that reads:
“if the employee works on Sunday or in the Turkish Religious and National Public Holidays, he will be paid an overtime fee”
For those of you that may be considering to join this airline.

I’d be more worried about the Pegasus safety record , than the human rights situation

Unfortunately Turkish government and its leader are exhibiting a lot of proto fascist tendencies. Only a matter of time before it all ends in tears and bloodshed. I think you'd need to think very carefully before living and working in Turkey. Wonderful country led by power crazed zealots.
