Is any one out there of the opinion that:

a. The crew were negligent
b. It was Controlled Flight Into Terrain

By definition it was CFIT....

Negligence? Possibly.... Though there is no evidence to support that argument. (innocent until proven guilty kicks in there, I think)

I think you can find all the answers to this in the 'Chinook - Hitting Back (sticky)' which is doing an admirable job. Do we really need another thread?

What Limits This has been covered in depth on the main thread "Chinook - Still Hitting Back 3" which is always at the top of the list (thanks to PPRuNe). The fact that so many credible theories exist shows that the negligence charge cannot be proved. Come and join the debate.
