Hi All,
I am hoping someone can help me with my question relating to converting my Canadian CPL to the Indian equivalent as my situation is a little unique. I am a Canadian citizen but an OCI Card holder which as per the law allow me to work on par in India without a work permit.

1. Will i need to go though the conversion process (i.e give the written exams as well) and get an Indian license and then apply for jobs OR
2. Can I apply as a foreigner using my Canadian CPL. If so what is the procedure to apply as a foreigner.. Do you still need to sit for the written exam?

I am hoping to land a job on the Turboprop at the very least.I have laid out some the details about my current credentials.
Citizenship: Canada
OCI (Overseas Citizen of India card holder)
CPL, ME IR, Flight Instructor(Class IV)
TT: 625 Hrs
Age: 38

Thanks!!

Hi,
I am in a similar boat, yes you will need to acquire Indian licence before companies in India can consider you.
