We are shortly to take a premium class flight from Gatwick to Canada on Westjet. Will we have access to some sort of lounge at no cost even if the lounge of a partner airline? Our flight does not have a business class section.

Thank you for your reply and the effort you have taken. I do not know what aircraft type we are flying on, but I do know that it does not have a business class section and even the premium class seating is quite small - perhaps less than 10 seats. Thanks again.

I guess you are in the Premium cabin (12 seats) on a Boeing 737 in which case you can opt to pay to use a lounge - cheers

If you have a UK bank account......

I was offered a premium account a few years ago by my bank. Looking into it, one of the benefits was travel insurance (another was UK car breakdown service).
The travel insurance is worldwide, multitrip. When I looked at the cost of taking out a policy myself, the bank's was cheaper with the added benefits of not paying an annual premium all up front in one hit, plus over 12 months it was cheaper than the annual travel policy purchased separately.

Another benefit was included membership of one of the organisations that has a lounge in many airport terminals worldwide, albeit restricted to 6 uses per 12 month period.

So I now get "free" travel insurance and free lounge access across the globe for less than the cost of an annual travel insurance policy. I've used the lounge access a number of times and am not complaining !
