In my Dad's attic, I was looking at a prop he's had as long as I can remember. Its a Fairey metal pusher with part of a wooden spinner attached. Its always been a bit of a mystery concerning the intended aircraft type. Its stamped 'CHERUB SERIES III SEPT 1929'. The only thing I can find which fits the date and engine type is the rear engine of the Halton Meteor, a push/pull tailless design which probably never flew. Can you suggest any others?

How about the Westland-Hill Pterodactyl tailless aircraft, constructed to meet Air Ministry Specification 23/26?
