Any news, movements or photos welcome. Hopefully some of you with flight tracking will also drop in to add to the mix.
I'll start with a basic fleet list, corrections additions most welcome.

It’s kept in good condition apparently just awaiting market forces to demand two. There isn’t always enough for one. Most time there is though. I don’t know for definite but that’s what I’ve been told

I would have thought there would be at least 2 years worth of requirement for a 2nd AN225. The world needs cargo lift now, not just to supply/feed COVID-19 medical supplies, but the normal cargo world goes on. I appreciate the huge costs involved in getting the 2nd aircraft up and running, as well as Antonov finding enough crew to cover a 2nd aircraft, but I wonder if in the back of some of the wooden clad walls of the Design Bureau, the senior members are evaluating it.

I honestly don’t know. I’m not involved with Antonov Airlines or Antonov Design Bureau. When the Chinese military were looking at her a while back the rumour was they thought at least 3-4 years to full service. I emphasise that was only a rumour!
sorry I can’t help further.

Here's a pic from a few years back of than AN225 taking a Hungarian Seismic crew to Oman - drive on drive off - save all the problems of taking the kit apart then shipping it and having to re-assembling it and recalibrate the lot ( weeks of work).
