Hello all,

After trying google and unfortunately unable to find any answers I'm hoping someone here can help... I'm looking to renew my instrumental license (EASA) here in the USA. I don't care what state or city I just really don't wanna go all the way to EU to be able to renew it. any ideas or contact info you can provide is greatly appreciated. thanks!

I Googled "easa flight schools usa" and found a number of places that appear to do EASA training. I assume they can do currency training as well ?

I wish man, but mostly they have a convention with school in europe and they require you go to europe at some point to get your certificate ... it's just the way they market it...

Easa IR initial and renewal can only be done in EU airspace

Got a source for that pilotchute? Pretty sure renewals can be done outside of member states.

Finding an IRE in the US could be more tricky; there were a small number dotted around (FL springs to mind) a few years ago but not sure now. Few ATO's in the US conducting EASA approved training have IRE's on the books largely due to the requirement to conduct the initial test in a member state, but you might be lucky if there is a visiting examiner in town from the EU conducting other tests for the larger schools.
