Hello all,
Would anyone by chance know anything about this Venom FB.4, WR550? I see on UK Serials that it was w/o in August, 1957. It's possible this photo shows it in Ethiopia, but I am not sure. From what I have found, 8 Sqn operated FB.4s during the Aden Emergency, so it is possible it diverted to Ethiopia for some reason. The 'D.D' in the caption may refer to Dire Dawa, an IEAF air base fairly close to the Djibouti and Somali borders.
