Chaps - I'm trying to find the correct title of a book I borrowed from a library many moons ago; it was something like "Aircraft Armament (or weapons?) of the RAF during WWII" or the dates ('39 - 45) may have been specified. In it, it described, inter alia, the development of the British .303 Browning from its American forebear, the 20mm Hispano Mk II and V, how the 25 lb and 60 lb RP warhead transposed roles following operational experience.

I'm not being lazy, I have spent hrs trawling Google trying to find said book but nothing is showing up neither is a search of eBay or Amazon; its likely I'm mistaken in the title and I can't remember the author's name. :*

Clearly I now want to obtain a copy (hence the searching of eBay and Amazon) - Any steers from the assembled throng? Even better, anyone recognise the tome, have a copy and are willing to part with it for suitable consideration?:ok:

Hi guys, saw all those during my own research but I'm 99% sure none of those are the one I'm on about; most are too wide in timeframe and scope. However, the turret one is of great interest too me anyway!

Thanks for the suggestions this far. Further suggestions still welcome.

Possibly GF Wallace's Guns of the Royal Air Force 1939-45 (Kimber, 1972). Despite the title, Chapter 12 seems to fit?
