A couple of interesting pics in the development of Citations and variations thereof:-

That first photo looks like the Citation III now has all the thrust it needs. Range was always an issue on the type, and I'm guessing the bigger (substantially by the look of it) engine will accentuate that problem.........................

Yes! The C650 III was the long range lower powered version of the VII, the VI was the ultra short range el cheapo version.
The Allison engine as you can imagine is the Citation X engine under development. At the time the C650 had the highest Mmo of any Cessna type in service, therefore making a good test article.
The pusher prop Citation II was purely an exercise to see if Piaggio knew something that Cessna did not already know.

How old is that photo of the pusher prop version on the ground?
In the background looks like a C208, the prototype of which didn't fly until the early '80's. This Citation was de-registered in the late 80's or early 90's.

The Citation IIs that I flew did not have t-tails.
That particular aircraft with the pusher props looks like it has a Citation III fin and tailplane.
It looks like a Citation II wing and fuselage.
With the pusher props the tailplane of the CII family would have been in the line with the prop spinner.

The version with the pusher props doesn’t look all that bad, any idea what dash number Pratt’s it had in it and what kind of TAS it got along at?

I'd heard the 750's engine was tested on the 650 but never seen the proof - looks nuts!! :ok: Thanks for posting.

I punched the rego into the google machine and it came up with a couple of other interesting pics:
