It was so much easier just to load a CD into the cars CD player but now I need to convert CD's into lossless FLAC. Well I have done it except I can't upload any artwork.

Followed these instructions https://www.techadvisor.co.uk/how-to/audio/how-rip-cds-flac-3690344/

As instructed I removed the tick from GD3 Metadata Plugin as this is the paid version

Didn't install NET Framework 3.5 as instructed as Windows 10 already has it

Went on to watch set up video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=58RmQsGGbeQ&t=302s

Filled this in as per video

But I only get this as an option with no freedb Metadata Plugin despite me ticking the box.

This option does not allow cover art. When I right click the CD cover everything is greyed out.

Any pointers where I have gone wrong?

No one has provided an answer yet so I need to look at this issue from a different angle. Can I scan artwork and add a file to the music folder? As I haven't got an example to look at I am not sure what type and size of file I would need. Is there another CD to FLAC programme I can use? When I go online everyone seems to use EAC.

Think I have got a workaround. I have scanned the album cover and saved it as cover.jpeg I then just dragged into the cover window as seen on the right hand side.

I used to use EAC. As the article states, it was the de facto solution. Now, I use dBPoweramp but as a Windows 7 user I found anything beyond v14.2 causes problems. Worth looking at. Older versions are perfectly good and may even be free. Any such programs are temperamental if both are installed. For example, different versions of codecs may cause conflicts. Thoroughly uninstall the older program before trying a new one. Revo Uninstaller is said to be good, but I use jv16 Power Tools.

Thanks for your input, I will look into it.

It could be related to the discontinued link between FreeDB and MusicBrainz, see here: https://blog.metabrainz.org/2018/09/18/freedb-gateway-end-of-life-notice-march-18-2019/
I'm not an EAC user and cannot help further I'm afraid.
