N47TB has just droned overhead at 8,000 feet (just north of Chester), having left Coventry earlier this morning. I presume this beautiful 73 year old DC-3 is starting her journey home after being part of the VE day events.

It droned over my house yesterday (in Bedfordshire), according to Flight Radar it came out of Paris Le Bourget.

C-47A N74589/Placid Lassie flew up from Grenchen (I think) to Prestwick, over eastern Kent, past Luton etc at around 12000.

Indeed, fantastic effort by the Americans!
Hope that we may see some more of this type of visit over the coming years. Confederate Air Force always planned to do a big European visit - the B-24 did make it in '92 and I believe they'd still like to bring the B-29 over if it was viable.
