It's just another R22 prang, they happen all the time. Nothing of interest here.

Quite windy in Melbourne the past few days, and those robbies are a totally different beast in those conditions - definitely not for low timers.

Oh well, their hanger was getting pretty crowded anyway with all that extra good kit arriving. Glad to see they all walked away.

I liked the 7 news pic of it, even an armchair expert can see what happened to it!

Emergency response crew transcript just released:
What do you think Colin?
It's dead mate.
Stevo?
It's rooted.
Mick?
Tag it and bag it.
Sharon?
Those scratches will buff out, no problem.
Andy?
I like the color.

Righto. Anyone care for some lunch?

That lights normal!

How many fireman does it take to declare an R22 deceased?

Hate to see someone destroy a perfectly good 22,...well except for that color. Hopefully in its next life it will get a better paint job.

There will be no next life for this machine, it just joins the long list of Robinson’s damaged beyond repair. As its is colour is that of a honey bee it definitely won’t be coming back, they also die when they loose the sting out of their tail!

It will, presuming you like the colour of Heinz Beanz :E

I thought it was just laying waiting for a belly rub

I thought it was just laying waiting for a belly rub

From the picture it sure looks like it already had the belly rub before it rolled over to die.....

Don't you know? Dead 22s come back as G2s. That's why so many of them have been crashing,...they're haunted!

Nice! The honey bee analogy made me laugh 😄

To their credit, PHS issued the following statement:

Professional Helicopter Services
28 May at 17:23

As you may have seen in the news, a Professional Helicopter Services (PHS) helicopter regrettably toppled over after landing whilst conducting training activities at Moorabbin airport today.

PHS can confirm that no injuries were sustained by either the instructor or the trainee pilot. The pair were practicing required emergency landing procedures when the incident occurred.

Emergency services attended immediately to the pair and both were taken to hospital as a precautionary measure. This is part of our standard protocol.

The incident has been reported to the Civil Aviation Authorities and we are working with the necessary authorities on any follow up inquiries.

PHS is the longest running helicopter training school in the country and conducts multiple training flights every day.

Cattle truck 100% correct , try flying one in scotland ( it ain’t that the way it’s way that you do it) , but that’s the laughable bit of the Robbie baskets on here , they don’t like them cause they can’t fly them that’s the issue .
