Hi guys,

so i came across this listing by Qatar and a couple websites promoting it. *i cant post links yet but a quick search on betteraviation or google with the keywords will give you the results to the listing*
apparently its stated that its open for international applicants since its self funded. But when applying they require a scan copy of a Qatari ID. Has anyone tried applying?

thanks!

Same question, but from investigating a little bit i think it’s open for all nationalities but you have to be already resident in Qatar to have this Qatari ID

hmm i just submitted my application, used my current id in place of the Qatari one. will see how it goes. In the past when they had the MPL in singapore with STAA they dident require a Qatari ID.

I applied with a Maldivian ID and clearly stated "INTERNATIONAL APPLICANT" on top. It's been under review since 29th May though. The Qatar Airways careers page say "under review means" my application passed all the necessary requirements. I haven't heard from them though. Have you guys heard from them?

Who told you that under review means your application passed all the necessary requirements? cause i applied at the beginning of may and till now it’s under review. Is there any chances?

Hi guys, even i have applied for it about 2-3 weeks ago and still no news, so I was wondering if anyone has heard from them or not and I'm not sure, but i don't think that a lot of people know about it because it was posted as a vacancy on their website .

Same, my application status says "Under Review" for more than a month. Anyone has any idea WHERE and WHEN the interviews will take place?

Hello,

I contacted them and they said we received alot of applications and we still reviewing them and we can’t tell you when you will receive an answer regarding you application. Meanwhile, they said the shortlisted candidates will make the assessment in Qatar and they still don’t know when exactly.

Thanks ashraf!

So if our status is "Under Review" does that mean we are shortlisted at this stage?
The assessment being in Qatar, I am assuming it means that we have to physically fly to Qatar for the interview?

Under review usually means under review, which means they're checking the tons of applications they received.
99% they will contact only shortlisted candidates.

I was invited in Doha in October for the selections. However, I discovered that a potential futur come back in Europe would be impossible... So I cancelled it

could you expound on why that would be the case please?
thanks

Because there is no deal between EASA and QCAA. Imagine, if you want to come back to Europe, you will have to repass all the ATPL exams

Hey guys, one of the requirements is to have an IELTS score minimum of 6.0

Did anyone get to the interview WITHOUT having an IELTS score?

Yeah that's what I'm wondering, has anyone passed through to assessment/interview without having IELTS or SAT Score for Maths. I've done GCSEs here in the UK did not really need either of those for any other application. Also, I do not have an equivalency certificate since I don't reside in Qatar. Planning to apply since the applications are currently opened but not sure about IELTS and SAT. If someone who has passed this stage could shed some light, please?

Thanks!
