Hello all,

I've been a long time reader of this forum, of which provided me countless information and inspiration to presue a career in aviation. Recently I was under taking flight lessons south of Sydney, amounting to a measly 7 hours of flight time. As life has it, my partner and I decided to relocate to the UK, specifically Glasgow in Scotland.

I know this is a open ended question, but does anyone have experience in obtaining a cpl in the UK, as an Australian with a visa? Ie, how do sponsorships play out? When I obtain a cpl in the UK, how complicated is it to transfer to casa?

I have contacted a number of training schools, but one has caught my eye in Prestwick. They have a piper archer of which I was learning on in Australia, and also a few Cessnas.

With the information I have gathered, what do you people recommend me to do?

Sponsorship through, British airways, easy jet or Ryan air?
Go through a training program?
Or hold out untill I get back into Australia (obviously this will change if I presue the sponsorship pathway).

Thanks in advance for any help.

Ps. Unsure where to post this thread.

Cheers.
