"Hong Kong ranked 44th out of 56 cities for its quality of life in a survey released by Deutsche Bank yesterday.."
I am surprised that it ranked that high!

Did anyone read UK national headlines in The Guardian, about a week ago, regarding pollution ?
Its a shocking read, and is aimed at general pollution levels in uk cities , not the severe filth we live in here in HK.

If you have kids, it should be mandatory reading . You would move them out of HK. If you were a concerned parent. If not, better expect a lifetime of coughing and wheezing with serious effects later in life.

When a city in India ranks higher, you know it’s gotten really bad. Bangalore is nice for India, but it’s still India!

Well, HK was always a polluted SH, nothing new here, BUT at least the contracts have been very well paid. Remember the skippers paying off their yachts with their housing allowance(most likely most off you will not) and sailed off with them when they decided to end the contract? Mainly back to the UK as it was UK territory back then(maybe another reason why everything goes south now with the chinese in control?).

But sitting in a typical small ****ty HK apartment, no heating , bad pay, and pollution - well, then it is a no brainer. Swire group is already long not anymore what it was back in the last century. So why would you go there(except being a local, then I feel sorry for you)? Same goes for the once fantastic middle east(again, long time ago). I guess "pay to fly" kids, more their parents, killed (or at least helped) the market and now we are all in that downward spiral dive. Thanks god I am done soon, some savings and public retirement(lol) back here in Europe will keep me afloat.

HK is dead guys. It's as simple as that now.
