Hi all,
trying to determine the max cargo load a 737/3/4 freighter can lift out of a 2600 M strip at 5000" elevation with 10000kg fuel on board. As such, i'm trying to get my hands on some take off and landing performance graphs which are very hard to come by. Could anyone assist me in this regard or at least suggest who i should contact?

The Boeing planning software I have cannot specify a runway elevation - I have to use an actual runway, but it would take me forever to go through the library of airfields to find one suitably high to run your calculation. (It doesn’t have Nairobi).
Best I can offer in the time available is :
737-400, ZFW 32700 kg
Runway elevation 2316’
TORA 2400m
10kt headwind
15 deg C
1013 mB
Max take-off weight under these conditions = 59700 kg
So max payload possible will be 59700 - 32700 - 10000 = 17000 kg.

I have the same issues as Uplinker, if you can name the airport and runway in mind I may be able to help.

There are too many other variables to be able to give an answer, eg, are there any obstacles, is the runway uphill or downhill, it will also vary with the temperature, QNH and wind direction.

Using Uplinkers' ZFW info but with a pressure altitude of 6000', dry runway, OAT of 26 degrees C, no wind and TO flap 5, 23.5K engines, gives a MTOW at 54,000kg (Climb limit of 55,600kg), so payload of 11,300kg.
As Johnny says- you need more detail for better answers.

But the answer will still be a variable dependent on the conditions on the day/night.
Not too mention it’s a scary question to begin with.
If you’re currently flying a 73 you should have the performance tables available to you.

I don’t think they fly. I think they are deciding which freighter can do the job they have.
