Sixty years ago on the 28th February, this remarkable little helicopter took to the air for the first time.

Wasn't it the Alouette that held the altitude record of 40,000', and then the auto record from that altitude, after the engine flamed out? Starter motor was removed after start to save weight, so a re-start wasn't an option.
