Im seeking any info on CASA approved maintenance facilities that can provide bottom end overhaul for a Gipsy Major 130 hp engine. These engines were developed in the 30’s for Tigermoths ,Austers and the like.
In particular I’m seeking to fit new white metal bearings to the case ,tunnel bore with the new bearings then fit crankshaft and scrape the bearings to suit new crank. These were the approved methods which have remained unchanged for more than 80 years.Anyway a contact for some one in OZ would be bonza!

I was going to suggest you register on the flypast forums and ask there, but I have done it for you, Stan operates quite a few of these old timers so may know, he is NZ based.
