Folks,
Any body been following the Senate inquiry into air fares, with the emphasis on the high cost of regional services.
Recently, some figure were given for the charges by Cloncurry --- quite amazing, and presumably apply to an ATR 72 or -8Q400.
AUD$10,000+ per movement plus $32 per pax, or $52 per pax. if it is a non-sched.
And councils complain about lack of services??
Tootle pip!!

$10k per movement? That's just taking the proverbial. As for the pax charges, get the govt to remove the screening requirement at remote airports and those amounts would disappear. Good luck with that one though

I've heard of some rich landing fees, but that is outrageous.Australian Airports Billing through Avdata: https://www.avdata.com.au/airport-charge-rates

Can't see the Cloncurry $10,000 on the list?
