Bell JetRanger PT-HPG was hit by an articulated truck this afternoon while apparently completing a successful autorotation onto a slip road at a junction on the Sao Paulo ring road. Helo pilot/part owner, and a renowned Brazilian journalist, died in ensuing explosion. Truck driver received minor injuries. Numerous amateur passerby clips on YouTube.

See video - https://www.cronica.com.ar/mundo/Video-registro-la-caida-del-helicoptero-en-el-que-murio-periodista-argentino-20190213-0005.html As I'm not a helicopter driver perhaps someone can speculate on what's going on.

Yeah, of all the places the pilot might have chosen to land, he chose to land on a busy freeway and got whacked by a truck. No doubt a forced landing due to a technical problem, but it looked to me that the pilot was in control and ended up where he chose to go. Obviously the last few seconds of the flight didn't go to plan.
