Just came up the M6, for the first time in ages, and I spy with my little eye a Jaguar parked in a field just before J2. Think this area used to be used for paint ball
Any ideas of which and why?
and from that anyone want to claim it from their log book?
don't think I can see any previous reference on Mil or Spotter forum

Long time lurker first post...p

The same paintball company also has a plane just off the M42 J3A southbound. On Google Maps search Delta Force paintball and put street view in, its next to the mileage sign M42 B 19.7.

I wonder if they have any more?

Just checked my logbook. She’s in there several times with the last entry being in Oct 2005. From that I infer that XZ369 was retired before 6 Sqn moved to Coningsby unless by quirk of fate I just happened to not fly her again.

When I saw the thread title I thought the OP was referring to this - note the Police Triumph 2.5 PI (Petrol Injection) Mk 2 so October 1969 or later - but the trial was on the M55:

I love that they loaded live weapons (assuming green meant live back then) instead of inert.

I wonder who wrote the risk assessment!

The M55 event took place just before the Blackpool motorway opened. As a teenager, I cycled there with a friend to see where it landed but struggled as our OS 1:50k map I was using showed the B5260 under-bridge featured in the video as a 'runway' blocking over-bridge. That must have confused the Russians - it certainly confused us!

I doubt that anyone wrote anything meaningful! The BL755s were certainly not live but were BAC's own demo/display wpns and there was a school of thought that they may not have been representative because of their weights.
