Shrike 500S Crash Wee Waa ~ 1988?

Does anyone recall an accident involving an AC Shrike 500S from Wee Waa in the late 80's? I seem to recall the aircraft was stolen from the airport and later crashed somewhere in the Nandewar ranges. I have searched the ATSB site for any reports but nothing found.
