Please could the Royal Air Force be abbreviated in capital letters thus: RAF?

???
I'm sure those that write it would do that but in the message by the OP the RAF is not mentioned.

P.S. I suspect Rosa can't spell ALTITUDE either!

Re Bruno,
He’s probably Portuguese and English may be his second or third language.
Let’s help him if we can !

Smiths Industries was broken up in the late 1990s and early 2000s . Some went to Lucas Aerospace, some to Meggitt and some to GE Aviation.

There is a discussion regarding a similar piece of equipment here: RAF heading/reference system (https://www.pprune.org/military-aviation/610737-raf-aircraft-used-smiths-attitude-heading-reference-system.html)

P.P.S. I suspect Rosa CAN spell

I suspect "Attitude" Indicator is correct, as it is the current term for the gyro horizon or artificial horizon

Hi there - yes, that is my equipment. But (1) the part numbers do not match and (2) I still have not finally figured
out which part nos. my equipment matches... Best wishes, Erik.
