View Full Version : Polar route fees

Looking to gather reliable info on the polar route fees that I believe are payable to Aeroflot.

I am being told these fees do not only apply to the polar route, but apparently to any transsiberian route, let alone to any route using Russian airspace.

The charges seem to be quite hefty, and I have heard numbers of about 25,000 USD per rotation for a DC10, and the numbers seem to be very variable.

Any clarifications on these fees or any pointing to useful sources of information will be most welcome.

Apologies if it were that this subject has already been dealt with on PPruNe in the past. If so, any pointing to the related thread(s) would be helpful.

Many thanks for your help.

Montt,

Best email (or ring) Nav Canada on [email protected] as they are the most helpful people I can think of. The website is of limited use, but for ref, its:
